小岛麻由美——Kojima Mayumi，又一位另类才女
1994年还在高校时代
就已完成DEMO TYPE「真夏の海」而受到关注
1995年7月和8月
更是连续发表首支单曲和处女大碟
一举奠定其个性化的音乐路线

Mayumi的乐风非常JAZZ化，并且夹杂了很多前卫元素
虽然在Jpop大系中标新立异的女歌手比比皆是
But能够像Mayumi这样将古怪与动听结合的如此完美，还真是凤毛麟角
在Mayumi的音乐构成中，咋看似乎非常的杂乱，什么都能被她用上
但如果体味其歌曲的实质，
表面的童趣和内在的女人心思，才是她真正标志性的元素。
和她尖啸童音般的声线相比，
她的音乐中BAND SOUND的成分也更加值得关注。
这在LIVE专辑中体现得尤其淋漓尽致。

初识Mayumi，来自于那首翻唱Spitz的《夏の魔物》
而真正开始听到她的大碟至现在，尚不足两个月
BUT——短短时光已经让我得出结论:
这小女子虽貌不惊人，其音乐却足以销人魂魄
